Mechanical Engineer

Essential Functions
- Own and support designated equipment and/or manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with production and management to identify opportunities for new or improved equipment, controls, and automation; research and recommend solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Apply advanced knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures within the discipline.
- Analyze, test, and optimize manufacturing processes through trials, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions beyond standard practices.
- Work independently with minimal supervision; escalate and consult on complex or non-routine issues as needed.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making authority to support company goals and operational efficiency.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for capital projects or moderately complex initiatives, including production qualification of new or modified processes.
- Establish project timelines, monitor progress, communicate risks or delays, and drive corrective actions to maintain schedules.
- Develop and maintain documentation for operation, maintenance, and calibration of equipment and processes.
- Identify root causes and develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as production, quality, accounting, and sales to achieve company objectives.
- Conduct internal and external training sessions; share technical expertise and best practices.
- Support team coordination to meet production, quality, and productivity targets.
- Provide cross-training and demonstrate flexibility through multitasking and collaboration.
- Represent the organization in meetings with customers, suppliers, or at industry events, as needed.
- Promote knowledge sharing and mentor team members.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards; actively work to reduce defects and improve processes.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives, including implementation of new ideas and methodologies.
- Maintain a consistent and acceptable level of performance.

Education, Training, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with statistical analysis tools, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other analytical methodologies.
- Intermediate mechanical, electrical, and programming skills preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education as defined by management.
