Advanced Technical Ceramics Company specializes in strong, durable, and precise ceramics for challenging environments.AdTech is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates to fill the position of Development Engineer. The Development Engineer is responsible for developing and integrating new materials and processes into AdTech’s product mix to support the business plan and company objectives.
*Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principals, practices and procedures within the engineering discipline.
*Tests and modifies manufacturing processes through trial runs of production process, reviewing and correcting problems beyond standards.
*Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
*Assists sales in quotation review, cost, technical discussions with customers, and occasional sales calls to customers when required.
*Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
*Analyzes technology trends, human resource and capital equipment requirements, and market demand for injection molding products.
*Direct testing of products and systems for quality and reliability of products.
*Provides input to vendor selection for processes within area of responsibility.
*Supervise other employees.
*Represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and recommends Company direction.
*Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge; trains other employees.
*Understands and meets or exceeds quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate.
*Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
*Participates in continuous improvement efforts.Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements:
*Highest language skills.
*Very high math skills.
*High attention to detail.
*Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or appropriate science.Graduate level degree is preferred, but not required.
*5-10 years experience with ceramic materials utilizing co-fired processing and/or injection molding in a development role.
*Must participate in relevant continuing education as defined by management.
*Must be a US citizen due to the nature of our customer base.
